Similar to the original triple feed immersion chiller, the JaDeD Hydra™, this concentric version is constructed of the same amount of copper as the Hydra but in a concentric design, allowing for a lower overall coil profile. The Concentric Hydra™ is perfect for any brewer wanting the speed and efficiency of a Hydra™ but constrained by the level of wort available to cover chilling coils either due to space taken up by a heating element for electric brewing, smaller typical batch sizes or other constraints.
For electric brewing, most brewers combine the Concentric Hydra™ with the ElectriChair™ in order to reap the benefits of this efficient chiller while still protecting the heating element of their setup
This chiller is faster than most plate chillers and will chill a 5 gallon batch from boiling to 68F in just 3 minutes using only 18 gallons of 58F tap water!

The design of the Concentric Hydra™ allows you to have the speed of a plate chiller and the ease of sanitation and maintenance of an immersion chiller!

The solid brass garden hose fittings are threaded onto soldered 1/2" MPT fittings on the chiller with food safe Teflon tape. The soldered connections avoid common leaking issues typically seen with compression fittings.
